YOGA OF STILLNESS PROGRAM

A NEW BEGINNING

Are you new to Yoga of Stillness?  In truth at each session we are all new to Yoga of Stillness as with each program there is always a deepening to your stillness and understanding of your habits and behaviours on offer for you to embrace and make true change in your life.  Change doesn't always happen in full straight away, it can take place gradually, one step at a time.... sometimes two steps at a time.  This four week program is designed for those who would like to start to look at and make changes to an area of their life.  It can be as simple as wanting to stop rushing and be more in the moment.... to be able to observe and read life rather than being reactive.  The program can support you to observe yourself and feel what changes are uniquely needed for you.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Just as the program is designed for you to understand what is uniquely needed for you, what is needed to support your body in a Yoga of Stillness session is also unique to you. Listed below are the essentials and it is for you to then feel what extras or variations are needed to support your body in a sitting position or laying on your back.

  • A thick exercise mat, or alternatively a thin yoga mat with a thick, soft blanket over it.

  • Pillows - as many as you need to support your body.

  • A light blanket to cover you if cool

  • Comfortable clothing

  • A quiet space.  There are only simple movements required so it does not have to be a big space.  Having a wall to lean against when in the sitting position if needed is essential to allow your body to be at ease.

If you find it difficult to be on the floor or move on the floor, Yoga of Stillness can be done from a chair.
